BitGo operates through several specialized legal entities, each tailored to specific regulatory environments and service offerings. As of H1 2026, the primary contracting entities and their respective functions are as follows:
1). BitGo Holdings, Inc.
Role: The parent holding company for all BitGo subsidiaries.
Jurisdiction: Incorporated in Delaware, USA.
Function: Provides strategic oversight and manages the group's global capital and resources.
2). BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association (N.A.)
Role: A federally chartered national trust bank.
Regulatory Authority: Regulated and supervised by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
Jurisdiction: Authorized to provide digital asset custody and fiduciary services nationwide across all 50 U.S. states under a single federal framework.
Note: This entity represents the conversion of the former BitGo Trust Company, Inc. (South Dakota), achieved in late 2025 to provide uniform federal oversight.
3). BitGo Europe GmbH
Role: The primary regulated entity for European operations.
Regulatory Authority: Regulated by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
Jurisdiction: Registered as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, enabling it to serve all EU member states.

4). BitGo MENA FZE
Role: Regional hub for the Middle East.
Regulatory Authority: Licensed and regulated by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai.
Function: Provides regulated custody and broker-dealer (trading) services in or from the Emirate of Dubai.
5). BitGo Singapore PTE Ltd.
Role: Primary hub for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Regulatory Authority: Licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution (MPI).
Function: Authorized to provide digital payment token (DPT) and custodial services.
6). BitGo, Inc.
Role: The technology and software provider for the group.
Function: Develops the core wallet platform and infrastructure (e.g., BitGo Express, OVC).
Services: Provides self-custody (non-custodial) software-as-a-service (SaaS) products.
7). BitGo Prime LLC
Role: The financial services and trading arm.
Function: Acts as a riskless principal for institutional digital asset trading, borrowing, and lending.
Relationship: Utilizes BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A. for the settlement and qualified custody of assets used in trading.
8). Additional Regional Entities
BitGo New York Trust Company, LLC: A limited-purpose trust company regulated by the NYDFS, permitted to offer custodial services specifically to New York residents.
BitGo Europe ApS (Denmark): Registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
BitGo GmbH (Switzerland): Regulated by the VQF for financial intermediary services in Switzerland.
